After 30 years of teaching, viagra sale I thought that I would be able to retire on some tropical beach, cure reading, site swimming, and soaking up the fun in the sun, while my brilliant musician husband continued to play & teach music.
But, that was not in the cards for me, at least not yet…
Shortly after I left teaching, I found myself in the middle of my husband’s failing guitar shop and a mountain of debt. And to top things off, although I have a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree, I knew absolutely nothing about business, guitars, or even MUSIC. (I am tone deaf, I admit it.)
I did know that successful business people understand the necessity to surround themselves with experts.
So, I made it a point to find an expert in the music industry who would be willing to coach me. Within 18 months of working with him and his mastermind groups, I pulled that store out of the hole, increased our revenue by 960%, and I won a new car for the most improved music studio. By 2010, our company had raised its annual revenues to well over $1 million dollars per year.
And things just kept getting better and better after that.
Today, I am running a multimillion dollar business with multiple locations and 30+ employees, have a successful coaching and public speaking business, and have become a published author of Top 10 Mistakes Managers Make.
If I can do it, so can you! Let’s talk.
I believe business is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. Our modern American society struggles with the concept of hard work and we often set ourselves up for failure rather than success. The majority of issues we as business owners face are caused by our own self-sabotaging tendencies.
I know that anyone can learn to have a successful business if they are willing to do the work.
There is a reason an immigrant can come to this country with nothing but a few dollars and a smattering of English and within a few years become a successful business person while so many Americans struggle just to keep their doors open.
The reason is someone who grew up in another country has never been told the American dream is a lie, as so many of us from this country have. They grow up learning that America is the land of opportunity and all they have to do is get here — where we already are — and they will find success. And when you don’t have that self-defeating mindset, and you put in the time and work, good things happen. Our society is no longer driven by price, but by quality, convenience, and time.
All you have to do is get out of your own way. I’m sure of that.
